Ray Kurzweil - The Singularity

Some trans-humanist devotees may know about what 'The Singularity' means. It is the term coined for when the world has changed so much that it is incomprehensible for the previous generation. The singularity is expected to happen by 2045 according to Ray Kurzweil who is a famous analyst with many correct predictions. His next prediction however is one of the biggest ones he's made yet. To define what exactly the Singularity will be, Kurzweil has said that it will be the moment where we will be able to link our brains to the cloud. In simple terms that means linking our brains to the internet which we can see has already kick started with Elon Musks newest company - 'Neuralink.' Ray also said that by 2023 we will have passed the Turing test which is a test designed to prove the quality of our AI. Hi, This is the first post for my newest blog about transhumanism and what I believe to be the future of humanity. In this blog I will be covering the latest discoveries, scientific theories, genetic mutations and transhumanist movements that happen and how this will affect the world as we know it. I will attempt to not give any personal remarks on whether I think this is good or bad as I wish to simply inform. The first topic I wish to cover is the idea of cryogenics. As some of you may know many people have frozen their bodies mostly due to suffering from a currently incurable disease in the hopes that someday they could be thawed and cured. However at least for now I see this to be a dead end. The reason for this is the fact that we currently don't know enough about the brain and human body to believe that if somehow someone is revived, then they will retain all their memories and consciousness.
